Did you know that some Shizuoka Echo forums are hidden? That is because Shizuoka Echo hosts private forums for organizations within the prefecture.
If you have a club, special interest group, sports team or whatever, and you need a place where your members can meet and exchange messages, why not start your own forum?

You probably noticed that the Calendar is gone and that some other blocks have been rearranged.
The Events Calendar had some serious bugs and events were not showing up properly. We will look for another calendar module but, in the mean time, please submit your events from Main Menu > Local News > Submit News.
There is no specific template or format for Event submissions, however, please remember that Shizuoka Echo is prefecture-wide. So please include the city in the news title.
The rearrangement of content blocks is an attempt to make more information accessible from the top page. It seems that a lot of people were missing it completely.
The site was down for about an hour this afternoon while we upgraded the content management software. Sorry for the inconvenience.
You may also find some quirks or bugs over the next couple of days but hopefully we will have things smoothed out completely by the end of the week. Feel free to report any weirdness by commenting below.
We have some new stuff coming too, so watch for changes! Expect to see followup news postings here to keep you up to date on the progress.
Shizuoka Echo now features Syndicated News (keyword filtered on "Shizuoka"). They are brought to you by Yahoo! News and Google News.
