Congratulations & Recommended Restaurants Congratulations to Shizuoka Echo! The best is yet to come!
Two excellent restaurants I would like to report on. Gato Rojo: Fujieda, phone 054 646 1033 Outstanding Mexican food at extremely reasonable prices, including a 500 Yen lunch special. Go out the North (front) side of Fujieda Station and head down the main street. You will soon see it on your left. Look for the electronic message board and picture menu sign board in Spanish. Call first if you are a party of 4 or more. Bucharest: South Shizuoka near Dai-ichi TV, phone 054 285 2528 Authentic Romanian cuisine from a real Romanian chef. Best buy is the set menu for a party of 4 or more. Call in advance for groups. Enjoy the gracious service of the inimitable Mr. Hajo Hasenflug on weekdays. The owner (Chris) has a map he can fax you or send by e-mail attachment. Parking is available. |

It would be great if you could provide some more details, a la the Submission Guide. I heard about Gato Rojo from Alex and managed to do a drive-by last week to get a fix on the location but haven't actually tried it. Being a mexican food lover (and critic!) I am looking forward to the chance.
